Right after his military service, the 2^nd-generation manager, Mr. Michael Chiang took the reins of the business. To cope with the changes of consumers’ buying habit, he re-organized the company, took a new direction of research and development, and initiated the differentiation of silk product lines. In the last 10-20 years, Michael has developed many product lines of silk duvet: from anti-mites and anti-bacterial, far-infrared, aroma-flavor, antibacterial herb, antibacterial chitosan, to the current Phase Change Material (PCM). He not only led the forefront of silk duvet development in China and Taiwan for years and also won many innovation awards both in Taiwan and abroad.

Now in 2015 it comes to the 3^rd-gemeration management, more changes are to be made. In order to resolve the climate change globally, just one kind of fiber as a filling material can no longer meet the challenges, therefore a smarter wadding of composite fiber is called for. Based upon the 4 design criteria: natural, ecological, smart and energy-saving, smart wadding, SENSILATE, came into being. This wadding is a composite of both natural and artificial functional fibers blended in a golden ratio to achieve the best management of temperature, humidity, air-permeability and insulation etc. This product is developed to solve the shortcomings of traditional duvet such as: not breathable, too hot/too cold, not washable etc.. We believe this new and smarter duvet is eco-friendlier, more comfort-giving, and economical.

Gracemore (Shanghai) Inc. was established in 2008 in Shanghai, as a branch office to develop the market in mainland China and to the world. Gracemore is a gateway to the new fibers and a window for new processing facilities. It co-operates with R&D in Taiwan and makes joint effort to make in-road both in apparel and bedding markets.

Congratulations! Innovation Awards

Through experience and research, Sensilate wadding and duvet, has won the awards in “Innovation Award of 22^nd Innovation Competition in 2015 sponsored by Economy Dept. of Taiwan” and Gold Medal of “2015 Taipei International Exhibition of Invention and Technology Trade”. Sensilate deserves these honors in its new thinking in the filling material and its sound bases of design, i.e. “natural”, “eco-friendly”, “smart” and “energy-saving”.
